RythmTrail was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote and I thought their pricing was reasonable for my Cocktail Hour and Wedding Ceremony in Naples. They were flexible in the dealing with changes in the ceremony start time and I was able to contact them any time. The best part of RythmTrail is that you can tell that the players enjoy what they do. Videos of other steel drummers during my research may have played well but they didn’t ‘feel’ the music like RythmTrail.

You were awesome! Not only did you out perform what I asked of you, you were creative and flexible during the free time and made the party what it was by getting everyone moving and you understood exactly what it was that Sean and I were looking for.

The steel drums at the ceremony and cocktail hour were awesome, beautiful and beachy, it gave our beachside terrace ceremony the perfect laidback, airy feel! Everything I wanted, timed to perfection.

The DJ-ing into the evening was fantastic, you were right on schedule, friendly, personable, and flexible to requests. You really got my guests up and moving and kept it going all night long! We had a mixed group and you jived for us all night, everyone raved and said they haven’t danced that much in years we had ages 15-84 up and at it dancing all night!! My 84 year old grandma, who just had knee replacement surgery in January, was out there all night…..she even out-danced us youngsters! You really got her moving.

We had a birthday party outside and we live on the water so it seemed only fitting to have the Steel Drums . Ephraim sent Dusty to play for us. He was AWESOME !! When we started to plan for our daughters baby shower there wasn’t a plan for live music. My husband and I love Caribbean Music. My husband Jim asked me to search the internet for Steel Drum music and that’s when I found your website. Steel Drum Band at Party in Gainesville Florida Jan 15 2011

Man, we will hire these guys again in a heartbeat! The day after Christmas was 28 degrees – freezing cold by Orlando standards – so we had to station our 2-member band indoors instead in the backyard as originally planned. Amazing: these delightful musicians adjusted, the music did not overwhelm, and yet the place rocked with fun, fun, fun! Their happy Caribbean music brought the best out of everybody: our little nephews danced with abandon, couples joined in, everybody tapped their feet and bounced to the beat, people laughed and chattered and had the absolute best time. These talented men knew when to be quality background music and when to interact a bit w/ the crowd – with taste and without intruding or taking over. Our extended family and neighbors still talk about that event! We can’t wait to have another party so we can book these guys again. Oh how I wish we could hire them EVERY WEEKEND!!! Their music is fantastic and they are wonderful people!!!

Ephraim played Steel Drums and DJ’d at our wedding on St. Simon’s Island in Georgia. As everyone who’s gotten married knows, everything was a blur, and details are fuzzy. So here’s what we remembered.

Prior to the wedding, Ephraim was always quick to get back to us and gave quick, no nonsense answers. A plus for people are constantly working. When delivering our must not play list (and play list) he pointed out the inconsistencies and asked us what we would prefer. (I feel like most people wouldn’t have bothered to ask.)

At the wedding, I, the groom, asked to walk down the aisle to the Harry Potter theme (from the movie). He learned the song for me and played them on the Steel Drums flawlessly. I couldn’t have been happier. Also, my new brother in law was to sing that he wrote for us at the ceremony. Not wanting to bring a lot of equipment on an airplane, Ephraim kindly lent him the plugs, microphones and speakers that our guest needed. Something he did not have to do, but did. Thank you Ephraim.

During cocktail hour we were off getting pictures taken, but from what we heard, the drums sounded wonderful. All of our guests complimented him and the fantastic touch that he added to our island wedding. His prices are far more reasonable than anyone else we looked at. A great alternative to just a plain ol’ DJ.

At the reception, he played each of our requested songs, and the guests had a blast dancing all night long. We had a lot of must play songs, including classic rock, rock, dance music and traditional wedding music. He made all of it feel seamless and everything came together nicely.

And on one other note, at the end of the night, we accidently overpaid Ephraim by hundreds of dollars. (My wife thought we forgot to pay the remaining balance, and so paid him twice.) At the after party, he seeked us out to return the remaining amount. A truly honest, as well as talented, man.

One bit of advice if you book Ephraim (and if you’re having a beach wedding, you have to), be clear about what and when you have music played. At the reception, events like the father daughter dance, mother son dance, speeches were going by REALLY quick. But we didn’t iterate that we wanted everything spaced out, so our wedding planner took notice and slowed him down a little. And during the ceremony, my bride missed walking down the aisle to her song, Over the Rainbow. I don’t know whether this is my oversight, Ephraim’s, or our wedding planners, or a mix of the three of us. Just remember to communicate more than I did.

Overall, you have to book Ephraim. He’s super talented, which included learning music for the ceremony that I don’t think he would have played before, and possibly playing music that I’m sure he didn’t own. (Our first song was “Married Life” from the movie Up.) Don’t miss out on Rhythm Trails. They helped make our wedding as great as it was. (And I wouldn’t have changed a thing.)

My husband and I were married in a private ceremony, in Negril, Jamaica. However, we wanted to share our happiness with family and friends. So, we hosted a cocktail reception two months later. We really wanted a steel drummer to capture the Caribbean vibe, as we were married in Jamaica and my family is Jamaican. I contacted many steel drumming companies to get quotes for a steel drummer for the cocktail hour. Ephraim played at my wedding on Sunday. I did alot of research on the different steel drum players I watched their clips and was deciding between him and another group because I could tell he had great energy. In the end I choose Ephraim because of his price and I thought he would be great. My wedding was on the beach and the reception was on the pool deck. He set up on the beach and played soft music while my guests were arriving and he also played as I walked down the aisle and during different parts of the ceremony itself. Originally I wasn’t going to have him play for the ceremony but I’m glad I did because it made it really nice. It was very soft not overpowering. I didn’t even know he did vocals until he was performing at the reception and I must say he was great. He basically played whatever he wanted and we loved it all. He barely ever took a break. The only song we did have him play was the song we danced to and we brought the CD and he played it for us. He was better then I ever imagined he would be. All of my guests loved him and I would definitely book him again.

Dusty (RythmTrail) played for my daughter’s wedding and he was fabulous and it takes a lot to impress me. From the beginning of the wedding to the end. He could play anything: religious, classical, oldies, you name it. I have to say his playing set the whole tone for the wedding, from walking down the aisle to saying good-bye.
